Liquid, powder, cream, stick!? Can’t decide what foundation is the right one for you? The first step is letting your skin be the guide for that choice. If your skin is oily, you’d want a matte finish and the best choice for you is an oil-free stick foundation or powder foundation. If you choose the stick, it’s a good idea to finish it with a light layer of your favorite pressed powder which will help absorb any excess oil. If your skin is dry, choose a hydrating cream foundation, stick, or liquid foundation. BB cream is also a good idea if you are looking for light coverage. If you have combination skin, you can combine a liquid or cream foundation and strategically apply powder foundation, on those areas that are more prone to get oily.
When applying and choosing a foundation, remember:
• Having the right tools always help.
.• Use the right brush to apply your powder foundation. For cream or liquid foundation, use a makeup sponge, for better control and even distribution.
• Not too skilled with makeup? Have in mind that powder foundation is the easiest to apply, then stick, cream, and liquid is the one you should practice applying.
• if you only want light coverage, you can use your clean fingers to apply your liquid, cream, or stick foundation.
• For light-medium and even coverage use a foundation brush.
• For full coverage, use a sponge and spread the foundation by buffing in small circles.
